Hi there, bookworms!

My name is Alejandra (Ale is shorter and easy to pronounce, lol). I'm a 24 years old Latina who enjoys a really good book and who also is an aspiring author (I'm working on my sci-fi wips, I also linked my work on AO3 just because lol). I'm a literature student, a cat lover and a professional procrastinator.

My native tongue is Spanish, so, sorry in advance if I have some grammar mistakes or if I misspell names. Feel free (don't be rude) to correct me or warn me about it! I'm still learning and those mistakes help me out!

Like all of you, I enjoy books (most of them) and will talk non-stop about my favorite books. I also write my reviews on Goodreads and try to make good graphics on Photoshop to post them on tumblr. I'm not a pro at this tho, but I'm trying.

I try to write reviews and not fail trying to express my thoughts. I like to give unpopular opinions/reviews of many hyped and popular books, because why not? I will likely tear them apart and rate them with 1 star, or love them. Idk, I don't usually trust in the hype of really popular books.

I'm brutally honest with my reviews and I'm not afraid to say what I think when it comes about books. If I love a book, I'll talk about it and never shut up. And if I don't like it, I'll tear it apart, yikes, sorry not sorry.

I curse a lot, so please be careful if you don't like this.

I'm always getting way too excited when I love books, or really grumpy when I dislike them, so my updates on Goodreads are like a rollercoaster, haha.

My favorite genres are: science fiction, fantasy (high, dark, urban, etc), contemporary, rom-coms (I'm a hopeless romantic bitch who will deny it because wants to protect her cold heart, lmao), LGBT+, mystery, coming of age, historical fiction, historical romance (I'm getting into this genre!)

Some of my favorite books are: The Folk of the Air series, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, Lorien Legacies, Skyward, These Violent Delights, Six of Crows, The Bear and the Nightingale, Heartstopper, The Lunar Chronicles, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones & The Six, Malibu Rising, Atonement, The Other Boleyn Girl.

I'm always willing to make friends, so, don't be afraid to talk to me. I don't bite ;) I'm just a small geek who loves books, dinosaurs, history and candies. Yes, I tend to get sugar-high most part of the time and jump all around like a goddamn rabbit, don't be scared. I laugh loudly. A lot. Pls, I'm latina, I have this exaggerated loud laugh that you can hear from two blocks away.

On the other side of the coin, I'm shy and awkward sometimes. I'm a little girl who has eaten so much candy and won't shut the fuck up. Or the plant in the background that won't move. There's no in between.

I'm a chaos. I know. I'm trying to behave like a normal and decent person.

I listen to Taylor Swift, Rina Sawayama, Nothing but Thieves, Japanese Breakfast, Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Hidden Citizens. Kpop: Gidle, NewJeans, Red Velvet, ITZY, NCT, ATEEZ, EXO, SF9, Stray Kids, and MONSTA X.

My comfort tv shows are: Derry Girls, Gilmore Girls, The Office, The Crown, The Queen's Gambit, Arcane. My favorite movies are: Anna Karenina, Atonement, Interestellar, the X-Men franchise, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, The Witch, Knives Out. I'm starting to watch k-dramas, if you have any recs, please let me know.
